Measuring approximately 90mm x 40mm, these are Hornbeam Militaria's exclusive blue felt backed, embroidered pilot's wings, as often purchased privately by US flyers in England. The blue felt backing was used to denote the wearer had seen combat and was either worn as a backed for the usual metal wings, or as a complete embroidered design on dress uniforms.
