Original item, good overall condition, couple of moth nips on the top (pictured). Nice condition U. S. Navy tally, slight wear to the lettering. Leather sweat band is very nice order. Named on the inside, looks like C. L. Corinth. Maker's tag inside, but unreadable.
No size, but likely just under a size 7.
There is a Charles L Corinth on the USN Muster Rolls, showing he was enlisted by June 1942 at the latest, sailing from Seattle to Dutch Harbor, Alaska aboard USS U. S. Grant, he was at US Navy Receiving Station 128 (Pearl Harbour) on 31 October 1944. He is then recorded at USN Pre-Flight School, Iowa City on 31 March 1945 as an Aviation Cadet. Worthy of further research.
