An original US WW2 era M1938 Parsons jacket, the 1st type of what would later become the M41 jacket - the main difference being the pocket flaps, that are not present on the M41. Worn and used condition, perfect for that combat impression. General grime and dirt, stitched repairs on both arms, light fraying on the cuffs, hem and collar, but not too bad for a jacket of this style and era. The zip has split slightly at the bottom, but still fastens, with care. All buttons are present as is the maker's tag in the pocket, although this is washed out.
Measured by hand;
Chest - 22 inches externally, so approximate 40 to 42" chest total.
Shoulder seam to cuff - 23 inches
Shoulder to shoulder - 19 inches
Top of collar to hem at rear - 25 1/2 inches
