An original US WW2 era Officer's Four Pocket dress tunic. Light soiling commensurate with age, couple of spots of mothing on the rear. Tunic is furnished with;
1. Bullion pilot's wing, sewn onto gabardine material and sewn on to tunic.
2. Two ribbon bars, Air Medal with one Oak Leaf and EAME with two Campaign Stars.
3. 8th Air Force patch.
4. Two overseas bars on the bottom of the left sleeve, felt backed.
5. Matching pair of US Officer's dogs, correct WW2 period flat back clutches (one missing), marked A. E. Co.
6. Mismatched pair of AAF BoS collar dogs, one marked Amico.
7. Pinback Distinguished Unit Citation.
8. Found in the pocket was a passport sized photograph of a J S Grinnan, an Air Medal miniature bar, two partly used matchbooks, one from the First National Exchange Bank, Roanoke, Virginia.
9, Regulation, Army Officer's Uniform label, but no others.
Not size marked, as Officer's tunic were individually tailored, but measured by hand as follows;
Pit to pit - 18"-19", so 36 to 38 chest.
Shoulder seam to cuff - 23 1/2"
Shoulder to shoulder - 18"
Torso mannequin is approximately a size 38 chest and it's tight fit on that.
