Interesting World War One ephemera, a completed postcard, undated but likely to be World War One era, given the style of caricature and wording. Portrays a British Tommy of that era.
Completed on the other side with a message sent home to the soldier's wife, asking her to "remember me to the boys".
The address seems to be to Mrs Kemm, no.1 Lincoln Row, Bar Gate, Newark, Notts. The 1911 Census reveals this address to be occupied by William and Elizabeth Kemm, married 6 years, with two children. The postcard therefore was presumably sent back home by William, to his wife "Lizzie".
William's pension record is available on Ancestry which shows he served with the Coldstream Guards under s/n 19175. He suffered a compound fracture of the right hand. He was entitled to a medal pair and Silver War Badge.
