An original British War Medal, length of original ribbon, correctly named to;
R.5416 C. R. LONG. A.B. R.N.V.R.
Sold with copy of 'Repatriated Prisoner of War' document and this shows he served with the Anson Battalion.
He appears to have been posted missing as of 21 August 1918. The following entries show him being reported as a PoW at Limburg and then Parchim. He seems to have been repatriated on 3 January 1919.
He was also entitled to a pension so presumably was also wounded at some point.
