Original period piece, a postcard style letter, in it's original French, dated 11 January 1916. Complete with English translation. The writer appears to be in writing to his wife and children from hospital (Convalescent Depot 49 in Montpelier) and he describes himself as 'not very well yet'. He says that he is waiting for his new prosthetic and it would appear he's lost a leg above the knee.

The writer would appear to be a man called Auguste Braines.
