An original World War One medal pair, comprising British War Medal and Victory Medal, original ribbons. Named as follows;
L-1476 PTE. A. E. HILDITCH. 16-LRS.
Alfred Hilditch was entitled to a 14 Star trio, having arrived in France on 17 August 1914. I've not been able to confirm but it's recorded with the medals that Alfred was reported missing in September 1914, but rejoined the Regiment. He was admitted to Boulogne Military Hospital in May 1915 with a Gun Shot Wound to the left knee.
