71 photographs documenting one man's war. I've not been able to identify the man by name, but there are numerous photographs of him. Other photographs include men with 9th Air Force patches, a B-26 and seem to begin in 1942 in Tampa Bay, Florida and go right through to Northern Europe in France and Belgium (Liege in 1945).

Photographs from England are labelled as being at RAF Boxted in 1943 and RAF Great Dunmow (both in Essex) in 1944.

This ties in with the 386th Bomb Group who flew the B-26. They were formed at MacDill Field in Tampa in late 1942. They moved to England in June 1943 as part of the 8th Air Force, arriving at Snetterton Heath, when they almost immediately swapped based with the 96th and moved to RAF Boxted on 10 June 1943. They moved to RAF Great Dunmow on 24 September 1943.

They then transferred to the 9th Air Force, and on 2 October 1944 moved to Beaumont-sur-Oise in Normandy and then Trond in Belgium.

A fantastic, original collection showing GI life in England and Europe.
