Excellent quality reproduction cap badge, as worn by Officer's of Glider Artillery Airborne units. The Enlisted variation of this patch has the glider facing to the left, as for Enlisted Men this was to be worn above the left eye with the glider facing forwards. As an Officer would wear their rank insignia on this side, they wore the patch above the right eye with the glider facing to the right, so that whichever variation is worn, the glider always faces forwards.
This insignia has been reproduced specifically for Hornbeam Militaria and was created using an original example, from which we have copied the size, material and colouring.
