A very interesting item, being an American spare parts pouch, possibly used by a machine gun or mortar crew, which has had the hanger on the reverse removed and a nice strap sewn inside the flap to allow the bag to be worn around the torso, rather than hanging off a belt. Very good condition for age, lift-the-dots are nice and smooth, no rips or tears and the material is still relatively clean and strong.
Appears to be dated November 1918 and is stamped with the initials R. S.
