A nice set of original period items, comprising;

Canteen - steel with the horizontal seam, date markes SMCO 1944 on the underside.

Cup - Blackened where it appears to have been used over a flame to heat food or drink, no date stamp visible on the handle, but produced by Ingersoll.

Canteen Cover - General good condition, but lacking the metal hanging fixture on the rear.  The flap for the hook is intact, so it's just a case of finding a new one and sliding it through.  No date marks but the cover is OD3 with OD7 trip around the edges, known as 'transitional' when the Army moved from lighter OD3 to a greener OD7 for their webbing.  Factories would make items up with whatever they had to hand, so some items of webbing have the two different colours, and are known as 'transitional period' items.
